A postback URL is used to track conversions by passing key data between Clickaine and your tracking system. Proper setup ensures accurate conversion tracking and campaign optimization.
Clickaine Postback URL
The postback URL structure for Clickaine is:
Key Parameters Explained
? clickid={clickid}
- A unique identifier assigned to each click.
- Clickaine uses this to track which specific click led to a conversion.
? cost={cost}
- Represents the conversion cost (amount spent).
- Helps in tracking ROI and cost efficiency.
? subid0, subid1, subid2, subid3, subid4
- Optional tracking parameters to pass additional data.
- Can be used for campaign ID, traffic source, ad placement, or custom values.
How It Works
1️⃣ A user clicks on your ad, and Clickaine assigns a unique click ID.
2️⃣ If the user completes a conversion (purchase, sign-up, etc.), your tracking system fires the postback URL.
3️⃣ Clickaine records the conversion and attributes it to the correct click ID.
4️⃣ The cost and sub-IDs help analyze traffic source performance for better campaign optimization.
Postback Setup Guide
To track conversions in your Clickaine Statistics dashboard, follow these steps:
1️⃣ Create a campaign and include Clickaine’s dynamic macro {clickid}
in your tracking link. This ensures each user gets a unique click ID.
2️⃣ Integrate the postback URL with your tracking system (e.g., CPA networks, S2S tracking, third-party trackers).
3️⃣ When a conversion occurs, your system sends a postback to Clickaine’s server:
4️⃣ In the Statistics section, you’ll see:
- ✅ Conv. Count & Conv. CPM (number of conversions & cost per thousand conversions).
- ✅ Payout & CPA Cost (conversion revenue & cost).
- ✅ Traffic Source Data (to create effective blacklists/whitelists).
